Avoiding moisture

The most important thing about a hearing aid is that it should not be wet. Like any other electrical appliance, the handset can be damaged by moisture. With one exception: the Aquaris of SIEMENS where it is not only water resistant but you can dive to a depth of 1 meter with the headset.

Given that our hearing organ sweats, we can not avoid moisture completely. Also you never know when it will rain. So to avoid any damage to our headphones, it would be good to ask your hearing care professional to give you something about it. There are electric dehumidifiers, dehumidification capsules, cleaning wipes, etc. We recommend that you keep the headphones in a dehumidifier or electric dehumidifier and place them in them before going to bed. You need to open the battery compartment to get rid of the moisture faster. If you use rechargeable headphones the echarger also does the dehumidification. You can just put your headphones in the echarger and it will do the rest. Externally the headphones can be cleaned with a cleaning cloth.

There are special cleaners for the molds such as cleaning capsules. Place a cleaning capsule in water together with the mold and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse well with water and dry with a towel. Blow the tube with a blower. So you can place the mold on your headset. You can repeat this every week.
